An exclusive interview with Max Caldas, International & Olympic Coach of the world class Dutch Men’s National Field Hockey team preparing towards the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer. It has been and still is a fascinating Journey for Max, his stafff and athletes. Under his guidance and leadership the team has faced many challenges, learned many lessons about individual perseverance, teamwork, mental flexibility – are they able to transform these challenges into an unbelievable advantage? Is the playing field equal for all national teams or are there un-equalities – how do you deal with these dynamics as a leader in sports! Sharjah Capability Development, an affiliate of Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, in cooperation with Sharjah Women’s Sports, have launched the Sports Leadership Programme on the 10th of May 2023, with the participation of a distinguished group of young female talents from Sharjah Women’s Sports, who will embark on a journey to develop their leadership skills until the 30th of October 2023. The SLI was asked to develop this programme from scratch.
